What is BACQYARD?

BACQYARD is your online landscape design service that helps you create a yard you'll adore at a price you'll love even more. Our mission is to make stunning outdoor spaces accessible to everyone through a simple, affordable, and personalized design process.

I am interested in becoming a BACQYARD designer, how do I get started?

We're always on the lookout for skilled landscape designers to join our team, but keep in mind our application process is competitive. If you have expert experience in landscape design, please send your resume and design portfolio to support@bacqyard.com. We'll review your application and if it fits our needs, we'll contact you to schedule an interview.

How are you different than traditional landscape design services?

We blend landscape design with technology to make the design process affordable, fun, and transparent—no hidden costs! We connect you with professional landscape designers and contractors who work together to turn your dream yard into reality.

Where are your design services available?

BACQYARD is a national online landscape design firm, offering services across all 50 states.

How do I get started?

Login to our website and sign up for one of our design packages . Once you’ve selected your design package you will be redirected to your client portal where we will get to know you, your needs, your style and your home. Submit photos and answer a few questions. Once these steps are completed, a designer will get in touch with you to schedule a 1:1 call or video call and start your project.

What kind of items can you include in my design?

We're your go-to experts for all things outdoor design. Whether it's patios, pools, pergolas, or pool houses—you name it, we can make it happen!

How personalized will my design be?

All designs are custom made just for you keeping in mind your style, needs, home style and budget requirements.Every design we create is custom-made just for you. We take into account your style, needs, home style, and budget to make sure it’s a perfect fit.

Can you work with any budget?

Yes, we can stick to your budget! We're all about creating great designs at any price point. Our designers will keep your budget in mind while planning your yard. Plus, we can offer phased plans to help manage your budget more easily.

Can you work with any property size?

Yes, we can work with any property size!

How does the process work?

The online landscape design process with us is super easy! Here’s how it works:
- Choose a design package.
- Complete the questionnaire on the client dashboard.
- Upload photos and a video of your property.
- Add some inspiration photos.
- Have a one-on-one call with a designer, either by phone or video. This step is optional. If you're short on time, we can start with the materials you've uploaded, and you can meet with your designer later.
- Within 10 to 14 days, you'll receive your initial design draft (note: this might take longer during busy periods).
- Send us lots of feedback.
- We'll revise your design based on your input.
- You'll receive your final design package.
- Now, it's time to bring your new yard to life!

How long does it take to get my design?

You'll receive your initial design 10 to 14 days after your video call with a designer. Please note that delivery times may be extended during our busy season.

Are revisions included?

Yes, the number of revisions included depends on the package you choose. The Classic and Full packages come with one round of revisions, while the Luxe package offers unlimited revisions for an entire month.

Can I speak or chat to a designer directly?

Absolutely! Feel free to schedule a call, send a text, start a video chat, or email your designer. Your design team is dedicated to bringing your dream yard to life, so for any smaller requests, please reach out to your design assistants. They'll guide you through the entire design process.

Where do I upload photos and videos of my yard?

After you purchase your design package, you'll be redirected to your client dashboard. Here, under the "About Me" tab, you'll find the "upload property photos" section. This is where you can upload photos or videos of your current space.

Can my designer incorporate items I already have?

We can definitely incorporate any existing items into your design! In the client portal, there's a designated section where you can list and upload photos of the items you'd like us to include in your design.

Will my design be construction ready or installed exactly as shown?

BACQYARD landscape designs are an excellent way to communicate your vision for your space to your landscape contractor. Our design plans are conceptual, and any final decisions regarding construction or installation will be made on-site by your landscape contractor.

Can your designs be used for permitting purposes?

We do not provide construction drawings, professionally stamped documents for permitting, or grading plans. Our design plans are conceptual, and all final construction or installation decisions will be made on-site by your landscape contractor.

Am I required to use your contractors?

You're free to use your own contractor. Our contractor match service is completely optional—you can use our partnered contractors or choose not to; it's entirely up to you.
